Growing up on an island off the coast of North Carolina, I was always surrounded by natural beauty. As a kid we spent every vacation road tripping to gorgeous mountains and lakes where we would camp, hike, rock climb, and kayak.
I took my first camping trip before my first birthday, and by eight I was backpacking on the Appalachian Trail.
Watching the sun rise above fjords in the Faroe Islands with the wind whipping my hair. Feeling the heat of an erupting volcano on my face in Iceland. Snorkeling with Hawaii's brightly colored sea life. And perhaps my favorite memory of all: marrying my best friend amidst the aspens in New Mexico's Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
So when you say you’re dreaming of getting married at the peak of your favorite mountain or in the vastness of the desert, I'm genuinely so excited.
